The Florida LGBTA Democratic Caucus applauds the signing into law of HB 7013, which includes the amendment authored by State Rep David Richardson, D-Miami Beach, removing the nearly 40 year old ban on adoption by gay and lesbian Floridians from the Florida Statutes.

While unenforceable since being declared unconstitutional in 2010, this ban is now relegated to the dustbin of history.
