Every two years, the Florida LGBTA Democratic Caucus elects its leaders. These elections occur in two stages. First, regional meetings are held to elect one male and one female director, as well as their respective alternates. The Florida LGBTA Democratic Caucus applauds the recent unanimous vote by the Osceola County Commission to move forward with a public hearing on a Human Rights Ordinance that would protect LGBT residents from discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression. We applaud Commissioner Viviana Janer for her leadership in bringing this ordinance forward.
