Stonewall Democrats of Alachua County 2014-03-31 17:52:00

Once again it’s Early Voting week – today, Monday, March 31st, through Saturday, April 5th.

You can vote 9am to 5pm at either of two locations:
• Downtown County Administration Building – 12 SE 1st St,  Gainesville
• Millhopper Library Branch – 3145 NW 43rd St, Gainesville

And take a picture ID with you.

This runoff election is critical and will determine the direction the city is to take in the next few years. Already 2 of 7 city commissioners, Braddy and Chase, have the backing of the Gainesville Tea Party. Craig Carter who defeated Susan Bottcher in the March 11 election and Annie Orlando, who is opposing Helen K. Warren in the runoff, also have the GTP’s support. If Orlando is elected it means the majority of  the city commission will have been backed by the GTP.

Helen K. Warren has the endorsements of Stonewall Democrats of Alachua County, UF College Democrats, the Central Labor Council, Human Rights Council of North Central Florida, Equality Florida, Gainesville Citizens for Active Transportation and others. To learn more about her go to

helenkwarren.com or attend the candidate forum this Thursday, March 3rd, 6:30pm at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 120 SE Williston Road.
All registered voters in the city of Gainesville are eligible to vote in the runoff to elect the At Large Seat 2 commissioner. If you don’t vote early, vote at your precinct on Tuesday, April 8th.
