The Florida LGBTA Democratic Caucus applauds the recent unanimous vote by the Osceola County Commission to move forward with a public hearing on a Human Rights Ordinance that would protect LGBT residents from discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.  We applaud Commissioner Viviana Janer for her leadership in bringing this ordinance forward.

We strongly encourage Osceola County to join many other counties around the state and enact this ordinance so that LGBT residents can live, work and play free from fears of recrimination.  We encourage our members, friends and supporters in Osceola and indeed the entire state to contact the Commission to encourage them in their efforts!
